Start with one sentence, then add detail

Write a useful Imagineer request with a clear child need and only the context that improves personalization.

Written by Radwa Hamed

You do not need prompt-writing expertise to use the Imagineer. Begin with one sentence about what the child wants to learn, practice, understand, or feel more confident doing.

Simple first, optional context second

A short request keeps the learning purpose clear. Add an interest, routine, reading level, language, family detail, or preferred format only when it changes what would be useful.

Step 1: State the need in one sentence

Example: “Help Maya understand why it rains.” A question, topic, routine, or real-life moment is enough to start.

Step 2: Add useful context

Example: “Help Maya understand why it rains. She is five and loves building with blocks.” Add only details that make the experience more relevant.

Step 3: Mention a format only when you prefer one

Example: “Make it a short podcast we can listen to in the car.” Leave the format open when you want the Imagineer to decide.

Step 4: Choose the child

Select the child profile or complete the character step so Nookly can use the intended age and saved personalization.

Step 5: Review the resulting brief

Check the planned purpose, audience, tone, format, and length. Make sure the brief still centers the original need.

Step 6: Request one specific change

Use Request a change for a precise correction such as “make it shorter,” “focus on the water cycle,” or “change the format to a printable activity.”

Examples

  • Literacy: “Help Maya practice words that rhyme with cat. She loves animals.”

  • Academic curiosity: “Explain why planets orbit the sun in a way a five-year-old can follow.”

  • Routine: “Make tooth brushing easier for Maya, who loves astronauts.”

  • Confidence: “Help Maya feel prepared to introduce herself at kindergarten.”

Good to know

  • Avoid private information that is not needed for personalization.

  • Use an existing Nookly tool when you know the exact format and want detailed controls.

  • You can begin before logging in; Nookly asks for account details when needed to save or continue.
