Animated Songs turn a child’s routines, interests, questions, and memorable moments into personalized music. Begin with a topic, choose how the child appears, shape the song’s style, and review the lyrics before continuing.
Why personalize a song?
Make language memorable: repetition and familiar words can support practice and recall.
Support everyday routines: a song can make brushing teeth, getting ready, or winding down feel easier to revisit.
Reflect the child’s world: include interests, family members, friends, pets, or meaningful details.
Create something to enjoy together: use the result for singing, movement, conversation, or a shared family moment.
Nookly is designed to support learning and connection; it does not guarantee a particular educational, emotional, or behavioral outcome.
Before you begin
You can start creating without logging in. Nookly will ask you to log in or provide an email when it is time to save, purchase, or continue beyond the guest flow.
Step 1: Open Animated Songs
Open Create and choose Make one thing.
Select Song, then Create a song. You can also choose Explore all and select Animated Songs.
On the Animated Songs page, enter a topic or choose a suggestion such as Eating healthy, Start the day gently, Wind down for rest, or Brushing your teeth.
Select Let’s design magic.
Step 2: Choose how to create the song’s hero
The hero-choice page offers two current paths:
Start with a photo: upload a photo and let Nookly match visible features.
Describe their look: build the character through a simple form.
If you describe the child, add only the details you want to use: first name, age range, background or heritage selections, pronouns, skin tone, eye color, hair, and optional final touches. Review the generated character, then choose Perfect! Use this one or edit the features.
Step 3: Personalize the song
On the content-details page, review the child and topic shown at the top. Then set:
Length of song using the minus and plus controls.
Reading level from Prereader through Advanced.
Media: No video, Image Slider, or Video.
Writing style: Whimsical, Practical, or Heartwarming.
Mood and tone: Relaxing, Warm, Dance, Upbeat, Humorous, Inspirational, or Auto.
Familiar people who may appear in the song.
Interests to weave into the lyrics.
Anything else to know for an important phrase, routine, memory, or context.
Choose Let’s compose [child’s name]’s song when the settings match your intent.
Step 4: Review and edit the lyric draft
Nookly creates a quick lyric sketch before the song is finalized. On the draft-review screen you can:
Edit the song title.
Select Edit to change the lyrics.
Choose Write a fresh version if the direction is not right.
Read the entire draft for tone, accuracy, age fit, names, and private information.
The illustrations or animation are created from the approved draft, so make language changes before continuing.

⚡ Head up: You will not able to edit the lyrics or visuals after the song is generated, so please ensure your draft text is ready to go before proceeding.
Step 5: Continue to the live checkout or account step
Select Continue. The live page shows the current options for continuing, including any email, account, subscription, credit, or one-time purchase requirements. Review the live details before proceeding; prices and commercial terms can change.
Step 5: Spread the Song Love! 🎤
You just created a song that your child will treasure forever, it's time to share the joy with all your loved ones!
📢 Share with family & friends – Let loved ones experience the magic too!
🎁 Send as a gift – A personalized song makes a meaningful keepsake.
Good to know
Use Start fresh at the top of the flow if you want to abandon the current setup and begin again.
Choose No video when you only need the song, or a visual option when the accompanying media helps the intended use.
For learning practice, use familiar words deliberately rather than adding details only for decoration.
Review the finished experience before playing or sharing it with a child.
