Use the Neighborhood when you want to discover a public resource before creating something new. Start with the child’s learning purpose or immediate need, then narrow the results.
Step 1: Open Neighborhood
Select Neighborhood from the main navigation.
Step 2: Search or Filter
By learning area or topic: Use a plain-language phrase such as “big feelings,” “morning routine,” “rhyming words,” or “the solar system.”
Browse by format: Choose a visible story, song, visual resource, activity, or other format filter when you already know how the child will use the resource.
Refine the results: Use the age, topic, personalizable, seasonal, or other controls shown. Remove a filter when the result set becomes too narrow.
Step 3: Open a resource
Review the full description, age guidance, tags, format, creator information, and page or media preview.
Good to know
The Neighborhood is public; a child’s Nook is private and personalized.
Searchable language should describe the child’s actual need.
Review every resource before using it with a child.
