Personalize or remix an eligible Neighborhood resource

Find a personalizable public resource, adapt it for a child, and save the child-specific copy to their Nook.

Written by Radwa Hamed

Some Neighborhood resources are marked as personalizable and can be adapted for a child. The personalized result is a child-specific copy, separate from the original public resource.

Step 1: Open Neighborhood

Go to Neighborhood from the main navigation.

Open the Neighborhood

Step 2: Find an eligible resource

Use the personalizable filter when available, or open a resource and check for a personalization or remix action.

Step 3: Review the public version

Read the complete resource before adapting it. Confirm that the purpose and base content fit the child.

Step 4: Start personalization or remix

If not subscribed pay for the personalization. Select the action shown for the eligible resource. The exact label and available controls can vary.

Step 5: Choose or create the child profile

Select the intended child and add only the context needed for the adaptation.

Step 6: Review and save the personalized copy

Check all personalized details, then follow the live save, access, or purchase step. Find the result in the child’s Nook.

Good to know

  • Not every public resource is eligible for personalization.

  • The child-specific copy stays in the Nook unless you intentionally share it.

  • A public resource and the personalized copy can contain different details.
